Nucleus

We are a scientific association at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, at the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics since 1985. The projects we undertake are related to materials engineering, primarily focusing on two branches: •Biomedical engineering and biomaterials •Materials for space technologies Currently, we are engaged in the BioPrintLife project: Building a bio-printer for studying the viability and interaction of bacteria with drugs (antibiotics) in various types of hydrogels (biofilament), in collaboration with the AGH Transpeed as part of the AGH Rector's Grant 2023 competition. Projects we have worked on in previous years include: •Development of composite polymer materials for use as a construction materials on Mars. Grant: AGH Rector’s Grant 2021 •Topographic, geological and geographical analysis of the Mars surface in terms of building factories for construction materials based on basalt rocks •Biodegradable glass packaging for use as a fertilizer for arable crops •Renovation and optimization of 3D printers
