Koło Naukowe Konstruktorów MechaniCAD

The HYDRIVE team, comprising members of the MechaniCAD Constructors Student Research Group, is a group of ambitious students from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. We have come together to fulfill our dreams and enrich ourselves with a wide spectrum of technical skills. Highly determined and driven by the desire to achieve international success, we have set ourselves the goal of shaping the world around us. Our first challenge was to construct an ecological racing car. "Project HYDRIVE. We race for tomorrow" is an initiative aimed at demonstrating that we are capable of utilizing the latest technology to build a vehicle powered by alternative fuel, namely hydrogen. Currently, we are developing our project with a focus on optimizing design and energy efficiency. Through our efforts, we aim to prove that as young engineers, we can meet the ever-growing demands in terms of ecology and technical requirements. Thanks to the persistent work of the HYDRIVE project team, we are able to present the HYDRIVE 1 racing car, designed for participation in international competitions such as the Shell Eco-marathon and the Challenge EcoGreen Energy. These competitions are primarily focused on promoting and developing ecological energy sources and are among the most innovative contests for young constructors worldwide. Student teams from all over the world face the challenge of building and testing vehicles that are as energy-efficient as possible. The winning team is the one whose vehicle can cover the longest distance on the equivalent of one liter of fuel or one kilowatt-hour. Participation in these competitions enables us to thoroughly examine the factors influencing energy consumption.
