The scientific club KN COSMODRILL is active at the Faculty of Oil and Gas Drilling in the area of space technologies in the broadest sense. It focuses its activities on laboratory research aimed at determining the possibility of both obtaining and processing planetary regolith in-situ. We are currently conducting research into the use of lunar regolith. We have lunar soil analogs LMS-1, LMS-1D, LHS-1 and LHS-1D from the Exolith LAB, as well as an analog AGK-2010, which has developed at the Department of Oil and Gas Drilling and is protected by a patent in cooperation with the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The research aims to identify the key parameters of regolith in terms of using the in-situ material to build planetary habitats. The second aspect of the research is to analyze the behavior of analogs in terms of the design of storage silos in planetary habitats and conveyor belts for the realization of analog transport. KN Cosmodrill, is also a #micromoonbit project, which is at the stage of preparing a grant application. KN Cosmodrill brings together in its team engineers of drillings, mechanics, mathematics, physics. We are constantly growing and looking for new members who have interesting ideas for self-development and would like to realize themselves as young scientists in the scientific reserach club.
