Indygo

The “Indygo” Student Scientific Club operates at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków under the supervision of Jakub Mokrzycki, PhD, Eng. It brings together students interested in organic and inorganic chemistry, materials engineering, sustainable development technologies, and modern research methods. The group’s activities focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of sorption materials with environmental and energy-related applications. Three research sections operate within the circle: biochar, MOFs, and zeolites. The projects carried out involve the development of innovative materials, often using waste and industrial raw materials. As part of its activities, the group organizes training sessions on the analysis and processing of scientific data (OriginLab), working with scientific literature, and bibliography management (Zotero). It also provides substantive support in the preparation of bachelor’s and master’s theses. Members of the circle participate in scientific conferences, presenting research results and developing cooperation with both the academic and industrial communities. A series of meetings with representatives of companies from the chemical and energy sectors is also organized, allowing participants to learn about the practical aspects of implementing modern technologies in industry. The circle provides a space for scientific development and for gaining experience in research work.
