AGH Solar Boat is a team of ambitious students from the AGH University of Krakow, which has been active since 2015. It consists of young people who, with their actions, want to influence the development of green solutions in marine transportation. Since the founding of the circle, the students have combined their diverse skills to realize the common goal of building zero-emission electric-powered boats using renewable solar energy. Their innovative approach to boat design and construction has brought them numerous successes at international competitions, earning them recognition in both Europe and the United States. The AGH Solar Boat not only represents the advanced engineering skills of its members, but also their commitment to promoting sustainable marine transportation and environmental protection. Since the founding of the AGH Solar Boat circle, they have already created several projects. Starting with the construction of "Baśka" - the first solar boat. It is light, agile, environmentally friendly and has had considerable success. She was awarded at the international Monaco Solar & Energy Boat Challenge. "Celka," the younger sister of Baśka, was created to improve on previous ideas. Thanks to advanced composite materials, optimization of the propulsion unit and proprietary PV panels, Celka is the most advanced solar boat they have built. The team also creates autonomous boats, including the "R.O.B.U.R.", the first autonomous craft, was a pioneering design in Poland. It received the Jury Prize at the RoboBoat competition. Another autonomous boat is the "Barka" Equipped with a proprietary neural network and vision system, it can autonomously carry out environmental measurements, such as testing water and air pollution levels. The boat's modular design allows it to be easily adapted to new tasks. "Barka" was honored with the award for the best construction of an autonomous boat on a RoboBoat in 2023, and in 2024 it took 2nd place at this competition.
